St. Charles Community College Prepares to Break Ground on $40 Million Regional Workforce Innovation Center

Next month, St. Charles Community College (SCC) will break ground on a new $40 million Regional Workforce Innovation Center in Wentzville. The state-of-the-art facility will offer associate degrees and certificate programs and prepare the region’s workforce for jobs in technology, advanced manufacturing, robotics, sustainable energy, healthcare, and more. Some new programs SCC will offer at the facility include battery technology, electric and autonomous vehicles, and renewable wind and solar energy.

The Center will also expose junior high and high school groups to technical careers through a hands-on “Make-it Center” where students can explore 3-D printing and robotics.

Other facility amenities will include 14 classrooms/labs and a meeting space for up to 200 people. Construction is expected to be completed in 2025.
